Designer Onboarding
Overview

After reviewing your profile and portfolio, we believe you’d be a great fit for our project. We’re building a web-based operational tracking portal that provides real-time visibility into company assets, field personnel, and live intelligence feeds. Your next step is to attend the onboarding meeting, where you will receive a full project briefing, including expectations, guidelines, and key procedures to follow throughout the 90-day engagement. Before we proceed with the onboarding details, please review the following important points:

Compensation

We’ve received request from contractors to increase the compensation offered, so we’d like to clarify the structure upfront. This is a contract engagement with a fixed total compensation of CAD 28,500. The rate is determined by the client’s allocated budget and is therefore non-negotiable. As this is a contract-based role, it does not include standard employee benefits, and all personal tax obligations remain the responsibility of the contractor. If this compensation structure does not align with your expectations, we completely understand and respect your decision to withdraw from the onboarding process at this stage.

Imposters

Please be aware that GulfX does not charge recruitment fees under any circumstances. Additionally, no member of our team will ever ask for sensitive information such as passwords, OTPs, or financial credentials. Any individual making these requests while claiming to represent GulfX is acting fraudulently. If this occurs, please report the incident to us immediately.

Meeting

The project you will be working on, Argus, is being developed for a Private Military Company and involves access to sensitive operational systems, proprietary technologies, and production-ready datasets. Due to the nature of this work, all contractors are expected to comply with strict security procedures and GDPR data protection requirements. For that reason, this onboarding process is handled more carefully than a typical freelance engagement.

You may choose to attend the onboarding meeting either remotely from your home or in-person at our client’s office on Rideau Street, Ottawa. If you reside near Ottawa, we strongly recommend attending in person, as face-to-face collaboration has consistently been shown to improve communication and overall team cohesion. Also, we currently support the following payout methods for CAD payments: Direct Bank Transfer, PayPal, Payoneer, Wise and Cryptocurrency wallets (USDC/USDT). If you don’t have an active payout account, you may refer to this PayPal setup guide here

Invite

Before proceeding with contractor onboarding, please confirm that you meet all of the following requirements requested by the client:

  • You are a minimum of 18 years old
  • You are permitted to provide services in Canada
  • You are not currently affiliated with another Private Military Company

If you do not meet the above requirements, please withdraw from the onboarding process at this time. If you are eligible, please proceed with the following steps:

  1. Download the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) here and sign in the designated contractor signature section at the bottom of the document.
  2. Then have the signed document notarized by a qualified professional. As a standard practice, notarization is a legal process used to authenticate identities and validate signed documents. For step-by-step guide on how to properly notarize a document, please refer to this article here
  3. Submit the notarized ICA along with other information using the below form no later than 31 May 2026.
  4. Once your notarized document has been reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email with the details for your preferred onboarding format, whether virtual or in person.
